Carlisle, Cumberland County

The Tranquility Salon & Wellness Center in Carlisle became the first location in Pennsylvania to feature a salt cave as alternative medicinal treatment. Tranquility imported over 20,000 pounds of Himalayan salt to create a 17' x 21' cave. The cave forms a unique microclimate exceptionally free from bacteria and rich in negative ions that are breathed into the body. Tranquility recommends the 45-minute salt cave sessions, known as Halo Therapy, as beneficial to conditions ranging from nervousness to allergies. Sessions are $15, and monthly packages are available. Tranquility also offers a full range of Aveda salon services, as well as wellness services including aromatherapy and an oxygen bar.
